World Series of Poker, Here I Come

Vegas Baby!!!

I’m leaving for Vegas this afternoon for two weeks. This is my first WSOP visit and I have to admit, I’m nervous, but very much excited. I have butterflies in my stomach and I haven’t slept right in 2 days. I leave Denver around 2:50pm and should be in Vegas by 4pm. I have to get my rental car first and then book it over to the Rio to register for WSOP Event#4. I found out that they are going to cap the field of Event #4 at 6000 people and that they were near 5000 late last night. Hopefully, I make it in time… hell, it is the one and only event I was looking forward to playing.

If all goes well registering at the Rio, my next stop will be to check into my suite. I did my research and found a great deal at The Signature Towers at MGM. The place is nice. All of the suites are independentaly owned but managed by MGM, so after doing my research I found that booking though an owner is very much the way to go. You get all the amenities the MGM offers at a very discounted rate. I have a suite in Tower 3 with a strip view and private balcony. It even comes with Vitiam Water in the room everyday!!

Of course, this WSOP is the year of Twitter, so I plan on tweeting alot of updates. I updated this site to show my recent tweets (right side) and I promise to keep the blog updated as well. I have to finish packing and getting ready. More to come soon.
